HSN educates consumers on textile sustainability during launch of MADE IN GREEN® labeled Concierge Collection

This month, retailer HSN educated television viewers about the MADE IN GREEN by OEKO-TEX® label on its Concierge Collection cotton sheet sets. HSN partnered with Hohenstein Group to develop the educational programming. See a short clip of the segment here.

The MADE IN GREEN® label assures consumers that HSNs Concierge Collection sheets were made with materials tested for harmful substances and were produced in environmentally friendly facilities and socially responsible workplaces.

Results of a global research study to assess consumer attitudes about textile sustainability show that consumers are striving to live a more sustainable lifestyle and want easy ways to do so. “HSN has a unique platform for educating consumers about sustainability and enabling consumers to make smart purchases for themselves and their families,” said Ben Mead, Managing Director of Hohenstein Institute America.

The OEKO-TEX® Association, in commemoration of its 25th Anniversary, commissioned the “The Key To Confidence” consumer research study of 11,200 clothing and home textile consumers around the world to examine topics ranging from concerns about climate change to harmful substances in textiles.
