Taking small steps is great, unless we ignore unintended consequences. We must take a holistic approach to sourcing and development.
Take the interaction between microfiber shedding and biodegradation. Does improving one undermine the other? How does more stable material biodegrade? How do they affect durability and performance? Are we using chemicals that leach during or after a product’s life?
We’ll start with the basics. We’ll discuss a test method developed to address this relationship. Then we’ll show how to leverage this data in development and marketing.
