Regenerative? Organic? Recycled?
Natural fibres in textiles and cotton demand are growing rapidly. The global value chain requires a standard and system which provide clarity, proven facts and results to build trust, secure integrity and protect our global resources. For our future generations.
Compared to conventionally grown cotton, the cultivation of organic cotton requires the absence of genetically modified seeds, chemical pesticides and fertilizers. Nevertheless, genetic modifications are repeatedly found in raw material and fibres which are falsely labelled with organic labels on finished textile products.
Hohenstein is one of only a few testing laboratories worldwide accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 for the ISO/IWA 32:2019 protocol and GMO screening. We provide you with evidence of genetically unmodified cotton in line with certification requirements of OEKO-TEX® ORGANIC COTTON standard.
